If determined that you are a good candidate for treatment, you will undergo approximately 3-6 weeks of treatment (dependent of severity of condition and any complicating factors) with an average frequency of 2 times per week. Patients that respond to treatment for structural issues of the spine (approximately 85%), will be released from care with specific home care corrective exercises and recommendations for continued pain relief.
If you have not responded to care, we will take an active role in the facilitation of next steps including the below when appropriate:
- MRI authorization and scheduling
- Referral or co-management with primary care for consideration of oral steroid medication or other anti- inflammatory medications.
- Referral or co-management with pain management for consideration of spinal injections
- Referral or co-management with neurosurgery/orthopedic surgery for surgical consultation
- Referral or co-management with physiatry for other advanced diagnostics such as EMG/NCV
We not only will make the appropriate referral but also work directly with our trusted physician partners to facilitate timely appointments, getting you the most appropriate intervention as soon as possible.
